Economical Hemostatic Gauze for Minor Bleeding

AllaQuix® Derm Stop Bleeding Gauze is a cost-effective calcium alginate dressing designed to help stop bleeding quickly. It's ideal for minor cuts, scrapes, and lacerations, especially for individuals on blood thinners or with fragile skin.

What Makes AllaQuix® Derm Different?

  • Made from 100% medical-grade calcium alginate
  • Absorbs up to 20x its weight to manage moderate to heavy exudate
  • Forms a gel over the wound to create a moist healing environment
  • Comfortable and flexible — can be cut or rolled to fit any wound

How It Works

As blood and fluid contact the gauze, the calcium alginate fibers form a gel that seals the wound, controls bleeding, and promotes optimal healing. This gel barrier helps prevent sticking, making removal easier and more comfortable.

Ideal for At-Home and On-the-Go First Aid

AllaQuix® Derm is perfect for:

  • People on anticoagulants or blood thinners
  • Those with bleeding disorders or thin skin
  • First aid kits, sports bags, travel packs, and school nurses

Fast + Easy to Use

No powders, no stinging, and no mess — just soft, effective wound care. Apply directly to the wound, apply light pressure, and secure with a wrap like our AllaQuix® Wrapid Cohesive Wrap for added compression.

AllaQuix® Derm | Calcium Alginate Dressing

Frequently Asked Questions

What is AllaQuix® Derm?

AllaQuix® Derm is a calcium alginate wound dressing designed to help stop bleeding quickly and promote healing. It’s soft, flexible, and ideal for minor cuts, scrapes, lacerations, and wounds with moderate to heavy exudate.

What is calcium alginate?

Calcium alginate is a highly absorbent, plant-based material that forms a gel when in contact with blood or wound fluid. This gel helps seal the wound, maintain a moist healing environment, and support faster recovery. AllaQuix® Derm uses 100% medical-grade calcium alginate.

How does AllaQuix® Derm work?

When applied to a bleeding wound, AllaQuix® Derm absorbs blood and fluids, forming a soft gel barrier. This gel helps control bleeding and supports a moist wound environment for optimal healing.

Who should use AllaQuix® Derm?

AllaQuix® Derm is safe for all ages and is especially helpful for:

  • People on blood thinners (anticoagulants)
  • Individuals with bleeding disorders like hemophilia
  • Those with thin or fragile skin

It’s an ideal addition to home first aid kits, school clinics, workplaces, and emergency supplies.

How do I apply and remove the gauze?

Apply the pad directly to the wound and apply gentle pressure for 2–3 minutes. Secure with a bandage or with AllaQuix® Wrapid Cohesive Wrap. To remove, soak with clean water or saline and gently lift. Do not leave in place for more than 24 hours without checking the wound.

Can AllaQuix® Derm be used for nosebleeds?

While AllaQuix® Derm is designed for external skin wounds, it is not recommended for nasal use. For nosebleeds, we suggest using a product specifically made for that purpose, such as AllaQuix® Nose Bleed.

Does AllaQuix® Derm cause burning or stinging?

No. AllaQuix® Derm is designed for comfort — it causes no burning or stinging sensations and is safe for use on sensitive skin.

Are there any precautions?

Yes. Please note the following:

  • Do not use on dry wounds (works best with moderate to heavy exudate)
  • Not for surgical implantation
  • Remove the dressing within 7 days
  • Individuals with alginate sensitivity should avoid use

Always consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns or if the wound shows signs of infection.

Is AllaQuix® Derm available for reimbursement?
