What makes AllaQuix® Bandages different from a regular Band-Aid
A regular adhesive bandage absorbs blood passively, holds it in place, and traps moisture. That's fine for a quick paper cut but bad for a deeper kitchen nick, a shaving slice, or a cut that won't stop bleeding for someone on a blood thinner. AllaQuix® Bandages use calcium alginate as the absorbent pad — the same hemostatic material in AllaQuix® Lite — in an adhesive bandage form factor.
The result: the pad absorbs up to 20× its weight, calcium ions accelerate clotting, and the soft adhesive border peels off without pulling at sensitive or fragile skin. The Large size (2×2) covers bigger cuts; the Variety pack has the everyday-cut sizes you reach for in the kitchen and bathroom.

HOW TO USE A BANDAGE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
Four small habits that make a big difference
Rinse first
Rinse the cut with clean cool water and pat the surrounding skin dry. Leave the cut itself wet so the calcium alginate activates.
Apply firm pressure for 1–2 minutes
Even with a hemostatic bandage, a minute or two of firm pressure helps the clot start forming. Resist the urge to peek.
Apply the bandage and let it work
Center the calcium alginate pad over the cut, smooth down the adhesive border, and leave it for 4 to 6 hours. Don't keep checking.
Change daily until healed
Replace daily or whenever the pad is saturated. Removing the bandage doesn't restart the bleeding because the clot has already formed.
FAQ
Common questions
What's the difference between AllaQuix® Bandages and a regular Band-Aid?
A regular adhesive bandage uses a passive cotton pad. AllaQuix® Bandages use calcium alginate, the same hemostatic material used in AllaQuix® Lite. The pad absorbs up to 20 times its weight, calcium ions help accelerate clotting, and the soft adhesive border is gentler on sensitive skin. For paper cuts, either bandage works. For a kitchen knife nick, a shaving slice, or anything on someone with sensitive skin or on a blood thinner, AllaQuix® Bandages handle the bleed properly instead of just covering it.
Are AllaQuix® Bandages hypoallergenic?
Yes. AllaQuix® Bandages use a hypoallergenic adhesive and a plant-based calcium alginate pad, which makes them a good choice for sensitive or reaction-prone skin.
Can I use AllaQuix® Bandages on kids?
Yes — they're well suited to everyday childhood cuts and scrapes. The calcium alginate pad handles a bleed better than a standard cotton pad, and the gentle adhesive is easier on young skin at removal. Supervise application with small children.
Are these latex-free?
Yes, AllaQuix® Bandages are latex-free.
Do they hurt to remove on sensitive or fragile skin?
The soft adhesive border is designed to peel away without pulling at sensitive or fragile skin. Because the calcium alginate pad has already helped the wound clot, removing the bandage doesn't typically restart the bleeding.
Can I get them wet in the shower?
Brief, incidental contact with water is usually fine, but adhesive bandages aren't waterproof. Change the bandage if the pad becomes saturated or the edges lift, and replace it daily until the cut has healed.
